Purchasing a real corset for extra help?
At our Intensive Workshop, you (Esther) mentioned that a real corset might be an idea for those of us needing extra support and reminder sensations as we begin to "wake up" our own inner corset. There are lots of items, waist cinchers, body-shapers, etc., on the market now.  Could you please recommend an item or two to try, and/or guidelines to prevent my doing more harm than good? Thanks!

A simple sacro/lumbar belt with velcro like this one is good: http://www.shop.mcgmedical.com/Elastic-Sacro-Lumbar-Belt-2N1-7-T.htm They are designed to support the lumbar spine and stabilize the sacrum, which your inner corset muscles will do on their own eventually, as you strengthen them and re-train them to work. Don't buy something that advertises waist cinching or body shaping - your abdominal organs need room! In purchasing an external corset/support belt, you also just want to make sure that it does not force a tucked pelvis. Maya
