Slight popping sensation in hip
I notice that when I practice glidewalking, at the point where the gluteus is most contracted, there is a slight painless sensation in my hip, like a little click or pop, but silent.  This doesn't happen when I walk "normally"--it seems very tied to the strong use of the gluteus muscle. Does this mean I am doing something wrong? Thanks!

In my experience, painless clicks and pops are not a problem - they can be caused by tendons running across each other or across bone. Just check your pelvic position to ensure that you dpn't have your bones approximating each other, for this, even without clicks and pops, will cause arthritic changes in your hip joints.

Thank you Esther! It does feel just like a tendon crossing something. I live in the Midwest and haven't been able to take a live course, although I hope to someday.  Meanwhile after a lot of practice I think I finally get glidwalking and it feels great.  The instructions in the book were so detailed and they really work.  I'm so grateful to you for making your ideas so accessible.
