Memory Foam Beds
I have been thinking of buying a Tempurpedic Classicbed, and I was looking around for other brands/models of memory foam beds, but the internet is full of viral marketing, and it's hard to figure out what's going on, and who can be trusted.

Do you have any opinions on memory foam beds?

I like the relatively old fashioned (I mean the kind you would find at Macy's) high spring count beds best. Medium firm better than extra firm, a thin layer of something soft (can be added separately) on top is good. Tempurpedic and memory foam beds can be good for side sleeping, but can cause problems when you sleep on your back. The problem is the middle of you sinks in more than your arms thus reinforcing the slumped-forward shoulder posture that is already a problem for most people.

We saved for a natural latex bed with a wool topper--whole thing sets on a slat frame--there is no comparison! Also no toxic outgassing. I am only hoping that by following Esthers book I will be able to tolerate sleeping on other beds when we travel--I usually wake up in pain on a regular bed like my Moms guest bed or hotels.
